Cinnamomum verum is the accepted botanical name, while Cinnamomum zeylanicum is a recognised synonym commonly retained in cosmetic INCI terminology.
For Aromatherapy: Add 1 drop to a diffuser filled with the recommended amount of water. Diffuse intermittently in a spacious, well-ventilated room.
For Diffuser Blends: Combine 1 drop with gentler essential oils such as Sweet Orange, Bergamot, Frankincense, Cedarwood or Lavender.
For Home Fragrance: Use sparingly in professionally formulated candles, wax melts, potpourri, aroma ornaments and room-fragrance products.
For Natural Perfumery: Add in very small quantities to professionally formulated spicy, woody, gourmand or oriental fragrance compositions.
For Topical Formulations: Use only in professionally formulated products at the maximum concentration permitted by the current batch-specific IFRA certificate.
For Bath Use: Direct use in bathwater is not recommended because Cinnamon Bark Oil may cause significant skin irritation or sensitisation.

Any leave-on or rinse-off cosmetic application must follow the supplier’s current IFRA certificate and professional formulation guidelines. Cinnamon bark oil is recognised in European scientific documentation as an established contact-allergen material.
Avoid contact with the eyes, face, nostrils, inner ears, mucous membranes and sensitive skin. Do not use for direct steam inhalation.
